Milo, Maine – May 10, 1959

On May 10, 1959, the pilot and passenger of a single-engine Taylorcraft were killed when the airplane  suddenly lost power and crashed into the Sebec River in an area known as “Carey’s Cove”.   According to a witness, the aircraft had been flying at about 400 feet when the engine suddenly quit and the plane dove into the middle of the river.
